What an incredibly long week it’s been for me. Thank you for all the well wishes for Beans yesterday. My husband and him made it down to West Virginia last night safely. His surgery is this morning! I will keep you posted on everything, whether you want to know what’s going on or not

Anyway, I shared earlier this week that I registered for the B.A.A. Half again, which is in October. I was originally going to share my training plan today and was actually hoping to start legit training this week. Buuuut considering all that’s going on, it just didn’t happen. I’ll be sharing the plan on Monday instead.
I actually haven’t been working out that much at all lately. Ever since my in-laws came out, I just got so lazy. It also got very hot here. I don’t do well in heat at all, so opted for not working out over being super sweaty in my house with no AC.
However, last night I finally went on a run after a week and a half hiatus from running. I was almost certain with my lack of sleep, stress, and low mileage lately that my run would be terrible, but it was great. I love running. It’s just my peace in this crazy world.
Before and after my run, I did some abs work too. My core is something that I tend to neglect. I’ve been trying to make it more of a priority lately. I actually love working out my abs and love that sore feeling, but I don’t like complicated stuff. I see a lot of crazy pinterest pins for abs workouts that either don’t actually work your abs at all to the point of soreness (that’s what I want!) or are so complicated/too hard that I can’t do it.
Easy abs workout? Here ya go.
I did 2 sets of this before my run, ran about 3 miles, and then did the last 2 sets after my run. It felt really good!
