My in-laws are coming in today & I’m so excited. The pantry is all stocked. The laundry is done. The house has been clean for days. I may or may not have been so happy to have a clean house that I vacuum and danced at the same time.
But now I’m ready to be on “vacation” with them
We’re planning on staying in tonight and making our favorite new tilapia recipe for them. Tomorrow, we’ll be downtown & hopefully get to go on a duck boat tour. Then we might go to the Cape or a closer beach near us.
Unfortunately, I see rain in the forecast, though. Boston always has a way of welcoming visitors with its standard weather overcast & rainy… Hopefully it’s not too bad!
A couple weeks ago I decided I want to start recapping my weekly workouts. Mostly just for me, but also so I can incorporate some healthy living topic throughout my blog each week. I also just love making lists & working out, so why not? I’ll probably just throw them into a post every now & then.
Workouts this Week
I thought this was going to be a serious rest week after my race, but I actually felt motivated to workout so I did. This week was great in terms of workouts, but I’ll most likely be taking the rest of the week off because we’re planning on doing lots of walking in the next few days.
Sunday: laziest rest day ever
Monday: I thought I would want to take another day off after the half, but I wanted to stretch out my sore legs. I did a 25 minute walk on the treadmill and this arms video that I’ve been totally digging lately.
Tuesday: 3 mile run. It felt good to get my first run in after the race, but at mile two I was about done.
This run seemed to remind my muscles of all the pain they endured on Saturday & made some of my soreness come back. Overall, it was a good easy run and felt nice to do a run not for training.
Wednesday: this total body toning workout by Popsugar. Love it. Besides the burpees…
Thursday: 2 mile run + this abs circuit; definitely a better run today!
And now I’m officially out for the rest of the weekend. Catch ya Monday!
