Happy Hump Day!
I’ll be travelling later this week to my in-laws to start an extended Christmas vacation in Tennessee. We go every year. I really look forward to disconnecting and just chilling at with my husband and his parents while we eat lots of amazing food. I can’t wait!
I got thinking though about how I want to stay active. As I mentioned yesterday, I had some pretty crazy back pain over the weekend and this week. I want to keep that at bay and not get super lethargic over my break. I’m not looking to keep the winter weight gain off, as I expect to be gaining now with being pregnant, but I just feel a whole lot better and have more energy when I can get a good workout in.
Here’s a quick workout I thought I could do at my in-laws, where I will have no gym or any weights like I do at home. As much as I’d love to travel with dumbbells, I think the airlines will be glad I didn’t 😉
Most of these moves are pretty common, but if you don’t know anything just look them up. 2 times through this is probably going to be good for me unless I’m feeling really energetic, but pre-pregnancy, 3 rounds would have been my norm. Do whatever feels right to you!
I usually rely on strength workouts that use weights, but I’ll have to seek out more no-equiptment workouts while on vacation. Thankfully, they have a really big hill on their property, so I use that to get a nice incline walk in.
You can’t tell, but that is a very steep and long hill that is their driveway. I love it! I plan to incline walk, possibly run if I feel up for it/the weather is nice, and do some strength.
