Happy Thursday! What’s new?
I can hardly believe it’s Thursday already. This week really flew by since I took Friday and Monday off of work for my mom’s visit.
It was so great seeing my mom! We had a really fun time. She got in Thursday night and we just hung out. Friday we spent downtown in Back Bay.
We stopped at my favorite coffee shop, The Thinking Cup, for a quick coffee date.
Then we walked around in the Boston Public Gardens. It was a gloomier day, but still nice enough to be outside.
The view from the Washington Statue never ceases to amaze me Beautiful city!
Then we spent some time in Back Bay shopping around. We also went to the top of the Prudential Center, where you can see the whole town. For dinner, we went to Legal Seafoods.
I got “popcorn shrimp.” Apparently they take it rather literally as popcorn came with my shrimp. It was cute.
Saturday we went apple picking at this apple orchard/winery place. It was a really gloomy day and misted on us most the day.
Then we did a wine tasting at the winery. The wine was not that good, but it was fun to hang out anyway.
Then that night, we went to this neat pasta shop that makes all fresh pasta. They get the dough out the refridgerator and put it through a pasta maker right in front of you. It’s really cool.
We made chicken broccoli Alfredo with fresh black pepper fettuccine. It was so good!
Sunday we spent exploring the North End and Quincy Market area.
We stopped at Pizzeria Regina/Polcari’s for dinner, which I had surprisingly never tried. It was actually probably the second best pizza I’ve ever had in my life!
Then we spent Monday shopping for a few hours before she had to head out. It was a short and sweet trip, but we really made the most of our time.
Questions for You:
- If you don’t live close to your parents, how often do you get to see them?
- What’s the best pizza you’ve ever had?
