Good morning, ya’ll! I’m joining Katie today for her Take Time Tuesday link up.
I’m going to share what’s been going on for me lately and use this post as a way to “take a time out” and look at my life from an outside perspective.
This morning for breakfast, I let myself indulge in my favorite Van’s organic blueberry waffles. I wish I could start every morning this way, but then I know I’d get sick of them too fast!
Fresh fruit on the side automatically makes it healthy, right?
Oh, and sorry all my pics are terrible today. My camera is dead & the memory card is full, so crappy phone pictures will have to do.
After breakfast, I wasn’t really feeling a workout. I knew it wasn’t a running day, but I needed to do something quick & effective. I did this No Excuses Workout. I love that it has cardio, strength, & abs all in one. It’s one of those “one stop shop” kind of workouts that leaves me feeling like I did so much in a short amount of time.
Lately, Pinterest workouts are my favorite. I just flip open my Kindle, find the workout on Pinterest, and set it up on my coffee table as I work out in my living room.
Couldn’t be any easier, right?
Tuesday – 3 mi run
Wednesday - Buzz into Shape circuit workout; always a good one.
Thursday – 2 mi run
Friday – arms video & 2 mi walk
Sunday – rest day
Monday – 3.5 mi hilly trail run; super hard terrain and run in general, especially after a weekend of no running!
Learning to Plan
Lately, life has only been getting busier and also messier for me in terms of my schedule. Working from home is great because having a commute from my bedroom to the living room really can’t get any better.
But lately, I have a lot of new things to keep track of with Mary Kay, from contacting people, placing orders, setting up parties, etc. And along with that, I still have all my regular day-to-day life stuff like, you know, cleaning the bathroom.
Yesterday I felt a little overwhelmed because I knew what I had to do (and trust me, it was a long list), but I hadn’t made a plan for how to do it. And goals without plans are just dreams!
I’m starting to realize that no matter how much or how little I have going on, I need to make a schedule for the week. It helps me see the time I have available instead of just seeing all the things I must do on a to do list. A schedule is much more practical than just a to do list. I know this is nothing other’s haven’t already figured out, but it’s very liberating for me to problem solve my life right now.
